Hanbury Wedding Barn
Part of the incredible Best Day Ever group, Hanbury Wedding Barn has been a hugely successful wedding venue for a number of years now. Oozing with rustic charm, and being completely set away in beautiful Staffordshire countryside we can certainly see why. As a venue stylist, Hanbury Barn is a no brainer when it comes to decorating! With it’s beautiful vaulted ceilings and mixture of light and wood décor, all our different ranges fit perfectly.
Restored with weddings in mind, the venue boasts three large separate spaces as well as a relaxing seating area inside, with a huge courtyard and ceremony area outside. We’ve put together a brief guide on styling each of these stunning rooms below, read on to find out more!
The Ceremony..
Set in one of the three restored barns, the Ceremony Barn really is visually stunning. Seating up to 150 guests (and with it’s new cross-backed chairs – a favourite of ours to style!) this charming room really sets the scene for your nuptials. Behind the ceremony table and up on a slight raised area, our beautiful arches, moongates and even hexagon/triangle options will create a beautiful backdrop for you to say I-Do in front of. The ceremony table looks fantastic with added fabrics, faux table arrangements, glass vases (LED candles would be required around the ceremony table due to the venues flame policies), and the aisle can be brought to life with chair drapes, floral aisle pieces and even more candles! We can even hang beautiful chiffon material from the beams, even adding floral pieces to further enhance the look.
The Wedding Breakfast..
One of the huge benefits of Hanbury is that once your ceremony is finished, you and your guests can then move either into the courtyard or if the weather isn’t playing ball then the Wooden Barn or the Roost for the drinks reception. The wedding breakfast is then held in the Eland Barn, a grand room full of rustic character and a stunning blank canvas in terms of styling. The guests and couple are given the ‘big reveal’ just before the meal, and we love this idea! In terms of décor, we honestly feel that bigger is better here, with the high ceilings our high rise centrepieces really come into their own. Most opt for round tables at Hanbury, with the room big enough to easily house numerous rounds without your guests feeling squashed! Here you can add some gorgeous textures, including fabric table runners, charger plates, napkins, table numbers, candles.. the list goes on! The top table usually goes along the main back wall, with our arches and backdrops framing the couple and their guests – you could even add a wedding themed neon at this point! Our larger Epic and Exclusive packages include a return to move, so we can repurpose the ceremony backdrop for you here, or you can choose to use a different one! Why not enhance your top table even further with a chiffon table skirt, creating a soft, elegant feel to the room. In terms of chairs, Hanbury has the same cross-backed style for the wedding breakfast giving you plenty of options in your chair dressing, from single, double or even Grecian styles.
The Evening Reception..
And to finish off the day, the party! Generally held in the Woodend Barn this space is home to the venues bar and a large open space, perfect to dance the night away! Our Flower and Sequin Walls are a popular option for photo backdrops, even adding a neon to really make it pop. We can set these up in either the Roost or at the back of the Woodend Barn, it’s worth thinking about what space your DJ might need as there is space in either room for a backdrop. We can also supply our 4ft light up LOVE letters which are hugely popular, and who doesn’t like a sweet cart whilst the party is in full swing (we suggest setting this up in the Roost as it’s perfectly placed here!)
