Grangefields

Grangefields opened its doors in 2021 and instantly became one of the most popular wedding venues in Derbyshire.  Part of the Cripps & Co family, Grangefields is situated in a countryside setting with outstanding views all around the building.  The venue itself has been constructed with weddings in mind with three large rooms to accommodate the ceremony, reception dinner and evening celebrations.  When it comes to wedding styling and décor, Grangefields is perfectly suited to large, extravagant items or more subtle touches depending on your taste.  Our extensive knowledge of Grangefields enables us to provide recommendations for each part of your special day, drawing on our experience at the venue and based on the numerous weddings that we have supplied.

The Ceremony..

The ceremony at Grangefields takes place in the Oak Barn, a long room with high ceilings and a fireplace behind the ceremony area.  Our moongates are a popular choice to frame the fireplace during your nuptials and rustic colours work pleasantly within the barn setting, but any of our numerous arches, moongates or foliage pillars would showcase the area perfectly.  For your ceremony table, we have a large selection of faux floral runners which can colour-match your chosen backdrop and/or fabric runners to introduce additional colours or textures.  Cylinder vases can be dotted on and/or around the table as a finishing touch.  Grangefields provides cross-back chairs for the aisle which can be left plain or decorated with fabric drapes to match your colour scheme.  As a final showpiece, you may consider having a floral arch over the Oak Barn inside the doorway which creates a fantastic photo opportunity as the bride enters the ceremony room.  Alternatively, our foliage pillars provide a more subtle touch or a pair of plinths or ficus trees at the start of the aisle would work just as well.

The Wedding Breakfast..

Once your ceremony has concluded (congrats in advance!), we can return to the venue (for a small fee) and move any items that you would like to enjoy for the wedding breakfast.  The meal and speeches take place in the impressive Dutch Barn which has a full room-length wall of windows facing out into the courtyard.  The top table or sweetheart table is generally situated on the opposite side of the room against the corrugated wall feature, this space is ideal for one of our large arches but the moongates also work well.  We can add a neon to the backdrop at this point which, once again, creates an ideal photography scene.  If you have decided on a top table, then most of our faux floral runners are 3 metres long and any remaining areas can be embellished with fabric runners and candles.

The wedding venue will give you a choice of trestle tables or round tables for your guests, our high-rise floral centrepieces are most suited to round tables but they can also be dotted along trestle tables if you prefer this option. We can also supply table numbers for your guest tables and top table, we have a variety of colours and styles numbering 1 to 12 (plus a top table sign).  Depending on which table option you choose, we can introduce fabrics and candles to decorate your guest tables and we also have a range of charger plates options available to hire.  Finally, the same cross-back chairs are supplied by Grangefields for your wedding breakfast, and these can be enhanced with drapes to match your colour scheme.  Some couples opt for every chair to be decorated or every other chair for a more subtle look.

The Evening Reception..

The evening celebrations are held in the middle room where the DJ (or band) will generally set-up in front of the doors which lead into the Oak Barn.  Some couples like to have their cake table in this room, and some prefer to cut the cake in the Dutch Barn, either way we have a range of smaller backdrops which can create a stunning photo feature area for your cake-cutting ceremony. Our 4ft light-up LOVE letters are a popular choice to light-up your dancefloor area (or even outside in the under cover cow shed) and we can supply one of our flower walls if you would like to create a photo area for your guests.  Finally, you may want to treat your evening guests to some sweet options, for this we can supply our sweet cart and/or our donut wall (both stocked).
