The Ceremony..
The Garden Room, in our not so humble opinion, is one of the standout areas Dunston Hall has to offer. The first time we ever walked in, we couldn’t believe we were still in Derbyshire with it’s rustic taverner vibes, ceiling filled with vines and oozing Mediterranean charm. As a stylist it’s a dream to work with spaces like this, and ceremony rooms go, this is up there as one of our favourites.
To enhance this beauty, we’d suggest dressing aisle chairs (or all, depending on budget) but even just focusing your styling energies on your ‘runway’ – the focal point of the room. Adding features such floral floor pieces, candle clusters, petals will give you the perfect ceremony aisle in this beautiful room.
The top of the aisle lends itself beautifully to our large floral arches, and to decorate the table we suggest a floral table arrangement which can then be repurposed onto the top table for the wedding breakfast!
The Wedding Breakfast..
Usually held in the magnificent Stables, Dunston Hall know how to throw a party and have the most incredible barn space to do so! The vaulted ceilings create this huge space with so many possibilities, including ensuring high-rise centrepieces have their moment to shine.
As a fairly blank canvas, pretty much any colour palette works beautifully here.. burgundy & gold? Monochrome? Sage? YES to all! Your ceremony backdrop can even be moved by us behind the top/sweet heart table to frame the happy couple.
And for the reception? The room can be decorated with a whole manner of fun extras – from LOVE letters on the dance floor, to a photo backdrop Sequin wall with a bright neon and Sweet Cart in the bar area!
