Confessions - Styled Shoot
The brief – we were asked by the wonderful Hannah from Confessions to style their venue for a wedding – to showcase this incredible hidden gem in all its glory. Having recently obtained it’s wedding licence, Hannah wanted some new images to really show off how utterly unique and special the venue is.
After what has felt like EONS of organising, planning and changes, we finally all got together in late January 2022.

If you’re looking for a dramatic but classy space, Confessions has this in spades. From the dark wood to the magnificent stained glass windows, you instantly feel at home in this cavernous but still intimate space.
A former church, the venue can host your ceremony for up to 120 people (utilising the upstairs balcony) and is later transformed to create the perfect party space – try the cocktails, they’re to die for!
We were fortunate once again to work with Rachel from Rastle Photography on this shoot. Rachel’s artful and timeless style was the perfect match for this venue, and it really came through in these sublime images.

After visiting Confessions for the first time, it became obvious to us what colour palette to use – Blush, Sage Green & Gold. And why? You only need to look up! The high vaulted ceilings above the beautiful stained glass windows use both blush and sage green to great effect.
Working alongside Zoe from Little Events, we created an intimate ceremony aisle walkway. Little Events added oodles of heavenly smelling eucalyptus and an huge array of tall and floating candles. She also created the alluring ceremony and cake table, along with elegant chair drapes. Framing the entrance to the aisle was the Majestic Arch, our towering floral blush and ivory arch with our Elegance Moongate taking centre stage at the end of the aisle, showcasing our newest (and largest!) Mr & Mrs neon sign.

Not wanting to stick to the norm (and with Confessions being a former church!) we asked the vibrant humanist celebrant Louise from Kickass Gatherings to ‘oversee’ the proceedings!
Humanist celebrants provide a great alternative to a traditional ceremony, adding humour, laughter and warm personality to the union. Louise worked with our model couple Rich & Bec to create some hilarious vows which had the whole group in tears.

Providing the dresses were the fabulous ladies from Tiffany Jordan Bridal, Rebecca wore two styles from different designers – Quest by Evie Young & Ivory by Ronald Joyce, both of which worked incredibly well with the whole theme. Richard was styled by the wonderful Jon Paul Menswear, a mix of grey suits and colour matching tie/pocket square. And who could forget the flowers! Rebecca’s stunning bouquet and Richard’s buttonhole were both created by Sweet Pea Florals.

What would a shoot be without a flower wall backdrop for photos?! In fitting with the mood board, we opted to use our beautiful Ascot Wall – filled to the brim with pastel florals and greenery.
We were lucky once again to work with a very talented Hair & Makeup team who’d we’d collaborated with on a previous shoot in 2021. Michelle from Bridal Hair by Michelle Jewess created this unbelievable style with her trademark curls, while Helen from Helen Pearson MUA showed off her finesse and elegant techniques once again.

We finished off the shoot with a whole bucket load of confetti from the incredible Shropshire Petals. Created using eco-friendly real dried florals, the shots included their Blush style confetti both loose and (even more fun) their confetti cannons!
