The Folly Open Evening - Sept 2023
Once again our local beauty of a wedding venue – The Folly at The Farmhouse – asked us to style their early autumn (or late summer… it was so warm still!) Open Evening.
Wedding venue open evenings are a great opportunity for couples to see their venue styled for a real ceremony and wedding breakfast.. so I wholeheartedly suggest heading down to these to gain some great inspo for your own wedding!
Huge thanks to Laura Anne Photography for taking these incredible shots of our venue styling!
For the wedding ceremony styling we decided to stick to our signature white. The Folly has great lighting through the huge patio windows which allowed an abundance of autumnal evening brighteness into the room. Our Grace Arch was the main feature behind the ceremony table, which also included our Eden Foliage Arrangement and finished off with our White Chiffon Table Skirt and two clusters of glass cylinder vases with floating candles.
And for the aisle…. we enlisted the help of our favourite floral designer J Austin Designs to create these incredible floor pieces. She is so talented and we’ve collaborated on many occasions with Jess, go check her out if you’re looking for some seriously amazing floral art for your big day. We paired Jess’ floral designs with more glass cylinder vases with floating candles. It really gave the aisle a romantic feel, especially when the light began to fade and the evening set in.
We used a mixture of designs to style the ceremony chairs, including weaved ivory chair drapes on the aisle chairs, and grecian on the rest with an added piece of faux foliage.
The top of the aisle was finished off using a set of Eden Foliage Centrepieces on top of White Plinths.
And then the wedding breakfast.. trying out some new colours and textures meant we managed to create an autumnal earthy feel which worked really well at the Folly. Still sticking with the greenery palette, we mixed this with some golds and rustic water hyacinth place mats giving the space warmth and elegance.
The top table was framed using our Forest Arch, with our newest Jessica Table Arrangement featuring along the front and finished off with a sage Chiffon Table Skirt.
The guest tables included our new Olive ruffle chair drapes with real gypsophila, olive green napkins (yes we can provide napkins!), green glass candleholders, dark sage chiffon table runner and our popular Holly Foliage Centrepieces on gold trumpet stands.
Final touches? It wouldn’t be a Rent For Your Event open evening without a flower wall, and our Henley Wall was paired up with our favourite photobooth company – Snap Candy. Chloe really is fab, she knows our backdrops and producing the most amazing prints. Her props are brilliant too (we know, we’ve been to a wedding she worked at and had an absolute blast!) We also recommend Chloe if anyone asks for a photobooth (she also does audio guestbooks too!)
We also provided our Floral Triangle & Ivory Cake Skirt to frame a GORGEOUS cake by Red Velvet Bakery. We’ve known Toni for years, and her cakes never disappoint!
